Is It Possible That My Evaporator Coil Would Need To Be Replaced After Having It
done on January 31, 2017 (less than 6 months)? My AC was installed August 24, 2009.

No, it should last at minimum 3-5 years. Most core replacements are warrantied for at least 90 days labor & 1 year parts. I suggest you contact the installer or if the installer did a poor job get another ac company to look at the system.
