Treadmill Is Not Working At All

Hi,I went to use my treadmill after being away for a month. When I turned it on the console said 'checksum pass, checksum fail'. I followed some online instructions to troubleshoot, but nothing helped. I can hear the motor running but the belt does not work. The console is not working either. Is my treadmill a lost cause at this point? I don't have the $600+ to replace the console
