Remote Rcrh02br Will Not Change Channels On Sony Bravia.

Hi my new RCA RCRH02BR will not change channels on my Sony Bravia TV. Tried both codes provided (0810, 0001) but no luck. Just setting up for antenna/TV operation, not cable or satellite. Thanks in advance.

I just went through this with my RCA Remote and Sony Bravia TV. RCA remotes by default lock out the channel-changing capabilities when in TV Mode (because they assume you will use it with a cable box and will not want to change the TV's channel). To change TV channels with the remote, you will need to disable the channel lock-out feature. To do that, follow the instructions in the paragraph below. After you've done this, you will be able to change channels on your TV set.

Programming Channel Control Lock
By default, in TV mode the remote control's channel-control capabilities are locked to the Cable Box or Satellite Receiver or Digital TV Converter. The affected keys are 1 through 0, Ch , CH and Go Back. This will guarantee that you do not inadvertently change a channel on your TV. However you can deactivate this feature to allow full access to these keys in TV mode. Unlocking Channel Control 1. On the remote Control, press SAT/CBL/DTC key and hold the key down. At the same time press and hold down the CH until the LED turns red and stays on. Then press the Enter key to unlock and save. Now the remote control will provide TV channel control capabilities while in the TV mode.

this gave me a headache too. It's stupid yet simple.they have tv mode channels locked by default. Should tell you in the manual. But just hold down Sat/cbldtc button. At same time hold the channel down button until light comes back on. Then press the enter button. Now it's unblocked. Don't forget to press tv button again to work buttons.
