Rca Model Tr3201a

We have an RCA TR3201A model television , recently the remote died and we discovered that this particular model has no buttons to change channels nor the volume, we also purchased a universal RCA remote and even that will not program to operate the tv and we know it works because we tried programming on another tv , no problem. now we don't know what to do short of scraping a working television, any suggestions?

No, you should not have to scrap your TV. You can probably buy a (costly) dedicated remote for your system from RCA: use the contact information here--https://www.contacthelp.com/rca/customer-service. A universal remote that will work for your TV will probably save you money--ask RCA or see https://www.remotes.net/. Another alternative is to seek a used one--go to http://www.searchtempest.com/, which will provide many useful filters, will let you search locally or country-wide and even globally, and covers Craigslist, eBay, Amazon, and many other sources. (For SearchTempest, you may want to use a free tracking program like http://www.trackengine.com/ to save you from having to repeat your search over time.)
