Scanner Resources Are Low, No More Pages Will Be Scanned

Scanner resources are low, no more pages will be scanned. I get this message when I try to scan docs into quickbooks. I checked and all the resources are fine. It scans fine outside of quickbooks, but no luck inside the program.
