8400bh Microphone Issue For Hands-free Calling
Installed the 8400bh unit just fine but the wired microphone won't work for BlueTooth phone calls. BlueTooth audio pairs ok with the phone, but when phone calls are placed or received, the audio on their end comes through my speakers just fine but they can't hear me. The microphone was mounted on my visor and in close proximity, so placement is not the issue. The volume for them to hear me (the 3 positions for turning up audio on their end) were checked with no effect as if it was permanently muted. I've check, double checked, triple checked the connection in the back and the only conclusion that I can come with is that the mic is defective.
Does anyone know how to get the microphone to work...perhaps there is a simple explanation that I'm not seeing? I need more things to try before calling this in.
