check screw and nuts and most time it is the result of some sort of jam in the hook/bobbin area

I hope this is helpful? PLEASE "ACCEPT" and mark it "HELPFUL" to complement my little effort. Hope to bring you more detailed answers

There are a few things that could be causing your Pfaff Hobbymatic 947 machine to run very slow.

The machine is not properly oiled. Make sure to oil all of the moving parts of the machine according to the manufacturer's instructions.

The machine is dirty. Clean the machine regularly to remove any dirt or dust that may be causing the machine to slow down.

The machine is not properly threaded. Make sure that the thread is threaded correctly through the machine.

The needle is not the correct size or type. Use the correct size and type of needle for the fabric you are sewing.

The tension is not set correctly. Adjust the tension until the stitches are sewn evenly.

The machine is not in good condition. If the machine is old or has not been maintained properly, it may need to be serviced by a qualified technician.

Here are some things you can do to try to fix the problem:

Oil the machine according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Clean the machine with a soft cloth and a mild soap solution.

Rethread the machine.

Use the correct size and type of needle for the fabric you are sewing.

Adjust the tension until the stitches are sewn evenly.

Take the machine to a qualified technician for servicing.

I hope this helps!

Here are some additional tips for sewing with your Pfaff Hobbymatic 947 machine:

Use a quality thread.

Use the correct needle size for the fabric you are sewing.

Adjust the tension according to the fabric you are sewing.

Keep the machine clean and oiled.

Take the machine to a qualified technician for regular servicing.

I hope this helps!
