Error 8
I was scrolling from 3 to 23 and during this the machine posted the message "error 8" and made a strange sound. Now, every time I turn my machine on I get "error 8", can't sew or do anything.

i have had this problem and found out it happens when you go above setting 20... because you are getting into DECORATIVE STITCHING when the machine is not aligned for it/ it is set for serging not coverstitch. what you need to do... I forget. I will try to update soon.
Update:
how to fix this: it is the machine telling you that the DECORATIVE STITCH (marked with blue and yellow above the sewing "shaft" and needles etc) needs to be toggled. You must have wandered into a decoratve stitch settings number and left it too long. SO fix it BY pushing the sliding lever of the blue and yellow bar to the left and RESTART the machine For serger stitches, push it back and restart.
Others will tell you it is the battery or missing light bulb but I think that has to do with other models. This fix works every time for me and I want to save you time... and myself if I forget and google this again he he .,... good luck and blessings
