Straight Stitch On A 138-6/21-bs

Have a used machine and even when the the dial is set on 0, cannot get it to sew a straight stitch. Is there something else that needs to be changed? Needle is in the II position, but have tried all three.

Change the needle position: It will sew both straight stitch and zigzag, it has 3 needle positions L,C,R
