Hdmi Surround Sound Using This Unit
I want to get surround sound with this unit by hooking to a hdmi DVD player and hdmi tv.
Can I do that.

This will not be possible with HDMI. According to the user manual, the player has no HDMI connections. http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/SAHT730.pdf
If you can connect the DVD to the TV with HDMI and then the DVD audio to the surround sound unit with RCA cables then it would work but the sound will be nowhere near what it would be if HDMI were used all the way around.
