The Vacuum Cleaner Had Been Turned Off For A Few Days. Did Not Have Problems

previously. But now will not switch on. The rotor motor on the attachment does work when set to "carpet" so there must be no overall electrical problem. But nothing goes on when set to "floor" and the suction does not go on with either setting. I thought might have been thermal protector that caused this from previous use and hadn't reset, so unplugged it and waited but still doesn't work, so may be fault in reset or another cause. Any suggestions? Thank you

No sanction is caused by a clogged Vacuum hose. A No vacuum run is caused by a bad drive motor. Particularly if the motor is found to be receiving power when tested. Otherwise, it may be a broken circuitry. Here is a troubleshooting guide that might be of some help.
