Belt/motor Needs Replacement?

My wife uses a Norditrack X9i. within the last couple of days the units has stopped working and the rotating tread will not turn. Apparently she said there was a burning smell as well, which leads me to believe a belt has borken and possibly the motor has burnt out or both. How do I address this information?

Hi. Here http://www.livestrong.com/article/406534-the-treadmill-belt-wont-move/ are possible causes of your issue. The belt may have slipped and skewed enough to jam the motor. This normally indicates a failing belt.
