Key Switch Does Not Work On Nordictrack C1800i Treadmill
The key switch does not appear to do anything - the treadmill is always on, and works fine, but to turn it off I have to hit the circuit breaker at the bottom of the unit. The instructions talk about a Demo mode, but holding down the stop button and inserting the key does nothing (does not go into information mode to see if it is in demo mode). From all appearances, the microswitch operated by the key is stuck in the ON position - all functions run fine with or without the key in. I may try to unsolder one lead from the microswitch to see if it turns the treadmill off, but wanted to post here just in case there was a better answer to try...
