Low Battery Indicator

It appears that my new camera does not have a functioning low battery indicator. The battery looked like it was full. And then stopped working and I got a message that was no battery

I think the this may be a loose connection of the battery or battery hardware failure that requires replacement. First, check the battery if properly installed based on the instructions provided in the manual. Here's the link to the manual:
