Powerhead Shorts Out

i have a miele model S768 and it works great but i have recently encountered a problem with the powerhead assembly. It shorts out but sometimes only for a couple seconds and other times it stays off for a longer period of time, I am able to get it to work if i put the handle in the upright position turn the npowerhead assembly off and then back on. i have taken it apart and haven't been able to pinpoint the problem. any information or tips you can provide me would be greatly appreciated. Thank You- Liam Ryan

This can occur if, for instance, large articles block the suction tube or when the filter bag is full or contains particles of fine dust. A heavily soiled exhaust or dust compartment filter can also be the cause of overheating. Turn the vacuum off and pull the plug from the outlet. Check for any blockages and allow the vacuum to cool for 30 minutes.

In the event of a fault which you cannot fix yourself please contact the Miele Service Department at the phone.

Hope that is helpful.
