Forced Sales?

I asked for an auto insurance quote mid December and was asked for a ton of additional information on the other people living at my address, even when told none of those people would be driving my car I was informated that I had to give personal information on my roommates to MetLife anyway. Because of this I declinded to sign up for auto coverage through them. To my surprise when I got my paycheck after Christmas it was almost $300 short, turns out MetLife forced the sale through and took the money from my paycheck without my authorization. I called December 26th to inquire about it and request that they refund what they had taken. The woman I spoke with was very apologetic and said she put the information in to have my money sent back to me, I was informed that I had to wait 7 to 10 business days to get my refund check. After not receiving anything by January 12th I emailed them through their website, I am upset about the issue and didn't want to get frustrated and yell at someone who was not at fault. The auto response email I got back stated that I would be hearing something within a couple business days.....it is now January 16th and not a word, I'm very upset about this as it's caused me some major problems. The money that was taken from me was to go toward my rent and cell phone bill......I know have a fairly large late fee on my rent and my cell phone service will be cut off on Tuesday. I'm going to attempt to contact them by phone again, but if this is not resolved COMPLETELY in the next few days I will be filing an official complained with the company as well as the BBB. Has anyone else come across this with MetLife?
