Transmission Safety Fuse For Gear Shifter

Cannot get out of park, tow truck driver checked cable & it was ok said it is the safety fuse. Where is this located & is it hard to change?

The shift interlock solenoid is defective. It should be located on the top of the brake pedal rod (up under the dash). The solenoid allows the shift actuator to release the shifter from park when you step on the brake pedal.
