Maytag Precision Touch Control 500 Bake Oven Doesn't Work But Broiler Does.

Glow plug works when broiler is on but glowplug does not light when oven is put on...panel shows 100 and does not get hot. It is a maytag gas model number mgr5755qdw. How does the glowpug and ignitor work for broiler and not the oven.?

The rangehas two separate ignitors. One for the broiler and one under the plate at the bottom of the range for the bake. You have to take the bottom plate off to reveal this ignitor.There are two screws in the back of the oven holding this plate in. The ignitor is held in by two screws and plugs in from behind the oven. I took a small metal plate off the back of the oven which revealed where it was plugged in. I found that the ignitor was bad and order one from AppliancePartsPro.com The model number was wpl 74008064. It was only $39.95 plus tax..Not bad when everyone else wants about $60.00 for the same part. I got in two days installed it and my oven is back to backing again.
