Error Code

my top loader maytag brovo series washing machine was displaying the error code 5d yesterday. it comleted the load and today i am trying to start another load and it adds some water at the begining of the cycle then the lid unlocks all the lights flash and it beeps at me and displays just an f error code. what does this mean and what can i do to fix it
