Dryer Not Drying Clothes

My dryer does not dry my clothes. Here is what I have done so far. I dismantled the dryer housing removed drum and then bypassed door switch. I then ran the dryer through its cycles. When I turn it on I can see the ignitor come on and the pilot light up. It stays lit for 16 seconds and then goes out. After about a minute and a half it will come back on again. I think that the pilot should stay lit longer. What could be the problem
