Maytag Gas Oven.
How do I know for sure that my door latch motor is bad. Does the door latch motor cycle every time you try to bake or broil? After I had the oven door open for a while it was flashing F9 and beeping. I canceled and closed the door and now it has "dr" lit up on the display. Don't want to be just bying parts in trial and error mode.

Dr and F9 both mean door malfunction. The recommendation for F9 is that you check door latch switches and wiring. You cannot "know for sure" that the motor is bad, with consulting a professional. Sorry.
