Dishwasher Not Draining End Of Cycle

Our Maytag dishwasher mdb4621awwo is not draing at the end of the cycle. Happen for the first yesterday. It was dirty water. It took 3 times using the cancel drain button to empty it. This morning it had not drained but clean water this time. It took 2 drain cycles to empty it. I had run the garbage disposal before I ran the dishwasher to make sure the garbage disposle was clear. Any suggestions?

Remove the bottom front kick plate. Check the small motor #14 make sure it is running, if it is then you have either a blockage at the motor in the drain hose or a blockage at the sink. Worst of all the motor is faulty. Remove the hose at the sink, get a bucket, put the end of the hose in the bucke to see if the unit will drain. If not then work on the drain pump side of the hose. Sometimes if the hose is blocked all it takes is a squeeze on the hose next to the pump to remove the blockage. There is also a possibility that some thing is stuck in the pump from inside the washer.
