- Prepare the nailer: Make sure the nailer is turned off and the battery is removed. Open the magazine and remove any nails that may be loaded in the tool.
- Position the nail plate: Place the nail plate on the tip of the nosepiece of the nailer, so that the holes in the plate align with the holes in the nosepiece.
- Secure the nail plate: Hold the nail plate in place on the nosepiece with one hand, while using the other hand to insert a nail through one of the holes in the plate and into the magazine of the nailer. This will secure the plate in place.
- Install remaining nails: Insert nails through the remaining holes in the nail plate, one at a time, until all holes are filled.
- Test the nailer: Once the nail plate is installed, replace the battery in the nailer and turn it on. Test the nailer by firing a nail into a piece of scrap wood to ensure that the plate is properly aligned and does not interfere with the operation of the tool.
Note: Nail plates are used to protect delicate surfaces from being damaged by the nailer. They are typically used in applications where the nailer will be used on finished surfaces, such as trim work or cabinetry.
