Magic Jack Can Receive Weak Calls But Cannot Make Calls.

when i go to dial a number i get dial tone but the dial tone does not go away when i dial a number and nothing happens. I can receive calls but the calls are weak and hard to hear. I have had magic jack plus for almost a year without problems until now. I tried to reset it by power off by unpluging from power then back in again but same problem.

Sorry for your problems.

Your magicJack may not work properly, or at all [partial list]:

if your magicJack is not running,
if it's not properly secured,
if the phone cord is not secured or is broken,
if you're not connected to the Internet at a sufficiently high speed,
if without a powered USB hub several phones are used to generate power from a USB port,
or if your magicJack device is defective.

You may wish to try these instructions. You can also reset the device, as explained here. Or consider "Running MagicJack as System" as outlined here.
