07 Navigator Won't Start Unless I Jump The Starter Relay Terminal

I put in a new starter, checked all the fuses, relays, they all checked out good, everything comes on fine except the truck won't start with the key turned to the start position alone, I have to jump it at the starter relay terminal, please help

Hi. Do you mean the solenoid by starter relay? If yes, then if jumping it as per the video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2Q_rSyCCZY works for you as well, then the solenoid is most likely defect - yes it may still be so with it new. Have the starter tested as per the video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PWG6Il_ZJI Do kindly advise if the necessity to jump the solenoid existed even before replacing the starter.
