Air Bag Won't Lift But Compressor Comes On

1.Access the compressor relay in the Right Front (RF) corner below the headlamp. Ground the Dark Blue/Yellow (DB/YE) wire leaving the relay connected and see if the compressor runs.



2. If the compressor does not run, verify there is battery voltage to the relay on the Light Blue/Pink (LB/PK) wire and ground on the Light Green/Red (LG/RD). Check for battery voltage out of the relay on the Gray/Red (GY/RD) wire when the DB/YE is grounded.



3. If there is no voltage out of the relay when grounding it, the relay will need to be replaced. Check to see if the compressor runs by jumping the LB/PK wire to the GY/RD to bypass the relay. If the compressor runs and doesn't sound excessively noisy, replace the relay and retest. If the pump either does not run or runs but makes a lot of noise, replace the compressor as well.
