Cable Off Drums

Door is about half way up-- Cable is off drums on both sides i pulled ermergency cable but can not pull or push door closed or open seems seems opener is still ingaged to torsion bar. Shouldn't ibe able to pull or push door up or down with emergency release pulled per manual instructions? Power door lock is not engaged.

Call your garage door repair company.

The cabels off is never a good thing. The weight of the door can make it drop when you try to fix some and it let go. Strongly recommend step back and call. We see stuff every day that people try to fix only to make the problem bigger and cost more money then if they just called in the first place.
