2008 Lexus Gs350 Headlight Problem

My 2008 Lexus GS350's headlights sporadicall shut off when I am driving the vehicle at night. I was told that there may have been a recall on this particular problem and it may be the sensors. I have taken it to a mechanic and was told that the bulbs are fine. Is anyone familiar with this problem? Thank you in advance.
