Dome Light Going Out
lexus rx300 2001-dome light does not burn out, it gets hot and melts ends of bulb. I have repositioned it and it works a few days. I have replaced several times from ( lexus dealer) and it still melts in a few days and goes out???? I have left cover off and it lasts a little longer. I also tried "bulb conductive lube"fmtx

Hi. Try LED bulbs though this may also indicate a wiring issue. Especially if you have only used replacement lights with ratings conforming the vehicle's handbook.
