How Can I Transfer Photos From The Leappad2 Onto My Computer?

I have downloaded the leapfrog client and connectedd the leappad2 well enough to donload the free apps that come with it however everytime I go into the gallery it says connect device even though it is already connected and I am not able to access the photos.
