Washer After Running Is Dead

THE WASHER WILL NOT RUN AGAIN AS IF IT IS NOT PLUGGED IN.  IF I UNPLUG IT AND THEN PLUG IT BACK IN IY WILL COME ON.  WHAT CAN BE DONE TO FIX IT?
