Mobile Data

I purchased for my daughter the LG VS450PP, we have baught her for the last two months the $50 unlimited card.. However she can only use the internet and other data based apps when she is connected to wifi? the card states that she has unlimited call, texting and data???? I have reset it, turned off and back on mobile Data, nothing works... Please Help
