Can't find the codes to control a Sharp TV

I don't know if this will help you or not, but I have a Magnavox TV which the manual lists no code for. I contacted LG and the response was that the remote does not support Magnavox TVs. On a whim, I decided to try all 1 digit codes. First I tried code 1, no help. Next was code 2, it worked fine. While there are over a hundred brands of TVs, there aren't that many manufacturers. Try all codes. You might get lucky like I did.
