Desired Cooking Temp Never Reached.

Gas oven very slow to preheat, often never reaching desired temp.  Now i use the broil feature to preheat the oven.  The igniter has been replaced, and did nothing to improve the problem.  That leaves two parts to trouble shoot, temp sensor and thermostat.
