Lg Lrfd21855st

How do I clean the condenser coil on my LG LRFD21855ST ? The manual says to remove the "base cover" located under the freezer door. I did this and there was a steel panel there blocking access to the coil. Is the coil accessible from underneath?   Thanks very much!
