My Lg Lp1217gsr Will Not Start. Serial # Is 702crkj04277.

I'm getting power to the plug as evidenced by the green light being on. However the control panel does not power up. Machine has set for several months, and was working fine when shut down. Where do I start? Thanks.Vern Rozier

2 possible scenarios are that the temperature setting is set to high and the unit will not start. The other one is if there is an E5 error stating the water tank is full. If the tank is empty it may be that the switch which controls that function is stuck and needs releasing.
