Normal practice on most microwaves is that the mains fuse will be on a small panel just after where the main power cable enters the unit towards the top of the machine. Removing the outer cover with the unit disconnected will expose the panel. If the fuse is blackened then there is likely a major fault. The usual problems are that the H/V capacitor has failed or the diodes feeding it have failed or the magnetron and in such cases I would involve an engineer to investigate. (2000V present) If you replace the fuse with a new one and it works, fine. If it blows again then it's an engineer. There could be another fuse for the control board but they rarely give issue. (But they do fail)

The fuse location on an LG LMV1683ST/00 microwave is on the back of the unit, near the power cord. The fuse is a small, cylindrical device with two metal prongs. It is located in a hole in the back panel. To access the fuse, you will need to remove the back panel. To do this, locate the two screws that hold the back panel in place. These screws are located near the top and bottom of the back panel. Once you have located the screws, remove them using a Phillips head screwdriver. Once the screws are removed, you can carefully lift the back panel away from the microwave. The fuse will be located in a hole in the back panel.
