Does The Lg Lfx25978st Have An Air Filter? If So, How Do I Replace It?

Yes, the LG LFX25978ST does have an air filter. It is located behind the front panel of the refrigerator. To replace the air filter, follow these steps:

Unplug the refrigerator from the power outlet.

Remove the two screws that secure the front panel to the refrigerator.

Carefully lift up the front panel and set it aside.

Locate the air filter. It is a white, rectangular filter that is located in the upper right corner of the refrigerator.

Remove the old air filter and dispose of it properly.

Install the new air filter by aligning the tabs on the filter with the slots in the refrigerator.

Secure the front panel back to the refrigerator with the two screws.

Plug the refrigerator back into the power outlet.

The air filter should be replaced every 3 to 6 months, or more often if the refrigerator is used heavily. Here are some signs that it is time to replace the air filter:

The refrigerator is not cooling properly.

The refrigerator is making strange noises.

There is a build-up of ice on the back of the refrigerator.

There is a musty smell coming from the refrigerator.
