My Gt10n Will Not Format Or Burn Blank Cds Or Dvds

The drive will not format CDs or DVDs but has no problems playing purchased ones.

Based on the product specifications provided by Cnet.com, the type of this device is DVD±RW (±R DL) / DVD-RAM drive. This means that it should be able to format a rewritable CDs or DVDs. Remember that you will need a burning software to burn / format files from the your CD/DVD. You can purchase the latest version of Nero here:

http://www.nero.com/ena/

Also, make sure that the CD/DVD media that you are using is a Rewritable media. Look for the +-RW symbol in the CD.
