The CHECK FILTER REMINDER will show CHECK FILTER when the dryer is turned on as a reminder to check the filter. It turns off when the start /pause button is pressed.
It is not recommended to use dryer sheets (fabric softener sheets) in LG dryers. This is because the chemicals in the sheets can collect on the humidity sensors inside the drum, preventing proper humidity sensing. This can cause the unit to shut off before load is dry. They can also block air flow and cover the sensors.
