It begins: We were recently notified by our email service provider, Epsilon, that their email database was accessed by an unauthorized party. As a result of this breach, the customer names and email addresses contained in our database may have been exposed. Epsilon immediately identified and patched the vulnerability and contacted the appropriate authorities. The only personally identifiable information exposed were customer names and email addresses. You may receive unsolicited emails (spam) as a result of this incident.
This breach affected Kroger, Best Buy, TiVo, Walgreens, JP Morgan Chase, Barclays Bank, Capital One, Citi, Marriott, Home Shopping Network, Brookstone, Ameriprise Financial, LL Bean Visa, The College Board, RItz-Carlton and Disney Destinations and probably others who didn't announce in early April of 2011.
Why did you select Kroger? Could the security problem not have come from a hacking of you email account from another source? Just curious.
