Hello, if you are getting that message you probably have too many files stored to the machine's hard drive. You can see how to delete stored files on page 10-11 of the scan operations user's guide. (If you don't have this guide, you can download it here.)
If the documents that are saved are files that you need, you can copy them to your computer before deleting them, using the device's web interface.
