Digital cameras are power hungry. You can try using a battery with higher mah, these type of batteries carry more charge and they are available in both disposable and rechargable versions from all the major brands. If you want to read more about this:

I went to batteries plus yesterday. even though it says to use double a's, you really need a special rechargable battery for it. I bought one for $30 yesterday, but the guy told me I could use my USB cable to charge it while in the camera. It hasn't worked yet. I went looking on the manual and it looks like I need a recharger for it.
