The Camera Will Not Format To A New And Bigger Memory Card.

My old card of 128 mg works fine but when I try and install a larger memory card it says card needs to be formated, the camera trys but can't do it. It keeps telling me the card is full and I know it is not. I have purchased two 4 gig memory cards and neither one will work.                Very frutrated, Conrad
