Kitchenaid Ice Machine Kuic18pnxs
Looking for a second opinion. The unit turns off by itself. We turn it on and it makes a batch of ice and turns off by itself again. Do we need to replace the electronic control board? Thank you for your time

When the bin is full, the ice maker shuts off automatically and restarts when more ice is needed. The ice bin is not refrigerated, and some melting will occur. The amount of melting varies with room temperature. The ice capacity switch (bin thermostat) has probably failed.
