The Glass Of Our Ranger Chipped. We Want To Replace It Ourseves. How To?

We moved overseas with all our kitichenaid appliances. Everything has worked perfectly fpr the last 3 years, but now the glass cook top of our KESS907SSS RANGER chiped. We know we can only gaet a replacement part back home and are willing to do so in our next visit. Would we be able to replace it ourselves? We are handy and have been able to fix most yhings around the house so far because there is not much reliable help here. Thank you.
