Setting Up A New Kindle.
Have bought my husband a kindle. does he need his own e-mail address in order to buy books etc.?

You will need to have the Kindle linked to an Amazon account which is what you will buy the books through. You can link it to your own account or make him his own (which requires an email address). It's up to you. Keep in mind the books you buy will be tied to the account the Kindle is linked to. They can't be transferred over if you change the linked account later on.
