I Have A Kenwood Bt 648u Unit Installed . I Can Hear Callers Clearly But I Am T

i have a kennwood bt 648 u installed . when the calls are connected i can hear alll the callers clearly. my callers are not able to hear me clearly. they say i sound far away like iam in a hole. i have adjusted echo +2, NR +3 Mic Gain +3 . Can an external mike help? If so how will this be installed to the system?
