If you bought the car as second hand or used already, you must ask the first owner for the security code. Because authorization by the Security Code is required when it's removed from the vehicle, personalizing this unit is by using the Security Code is a help in preventing theft.

The code can not be changed and the function can't be released when the Security Code function is activated. Please refer to this PDF manual link for detailed information and scroll down to Page 18:
