Yes, the door can be installed to open either left or right. It's a fairly simple process of removing the brackets/hinges and moving them to the other side. You'll need a few basic hand tools (screwdriver, socket wrench, adjustable wrench). You begin by prying off the hinge cover above the freezer door and removing 3 bolts. This will allow you to lift up the freezer door and give you access to the next bracket. Detailed instructions (with pictures) can be found on pages 11-14 of the manual below:
